Welcome to Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School!

Message from the Head of School,

Tami Pleasanton

Saint Joe’s, as it is affectionately known, was founded in 1958, and has been growing in strength and numbers ever since. For the last decade, Saint Joe’s has served approximately 250 students per year on its beautiful campus.

The campus extends over fifteen acres from South Seacrest Boulevard to North Swinton Avenue, and comprises beautiful, well-maintained playing fields, tennis courts, state-of-the-art classrooms, computer and science labs, fine arts room with kiln, theater, gymnasium, and a spacious, child-centered library.

Saint Joe’s mission is to provide a rigorous education in mind, body, and spirit in a safe Christian climate.

We fulfill this mission in many ways, but first and foremost, through a curriculum that is challenging in both breadth and depth. Second, our teachers are the most highly qualified among peers in their respective professions, and bring a positive attitude to all they accomplish with their beloved students. Third, our fine and performing arts programs in the Academy of the Arts help students build the confidence and self-esteem that grow out of both knowing they are loved and their delight in their own accomplishments as they work together to achieve their goals. Fourth, our sacred studies program undergirds the Episcopal identity of our School. It teaches ethics and gives students a strong knowledge of our Judeo-Christian heritage and world religions.

The graduates of Saint Joe’s attend prestigious colleges and universities, such as Harvard, Yale, Brown, Duke, Vanderbilt, UNC Chapel Hill, and Emory, as well as honors colleges in state universities, and local colleges, after flourishing and distinguishing themselves in well-respected independent day and boarding schools, and honors, performing arts, Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate programs in magnet public schools. They enjoy careers in law, finance, environmental protection, engineering, design, psychology, education, and medicine, and prove themselves to be unparalleled as global citizens.

Saint Joe’s enjoys partnerships with Saint Andrew’s School, Sunset Entertainment, Florida Atlantic University, the Norton Museum of Art, The Palm Beach County Zoo, the Kravis Theater, and the Boca Raton Symphonia. Episcopal students in need of scholarships are supported through grants from Bethesda-by-the-Sea, Saint Joseph’s, and Saint Paul’s Episcopal Churches.

The Parent Organization reaches out to the greater community each year to raise money for scholarships and operating expenses in order to keep tuition at a reasonable, affordable level.

As you stroll across the campus, know that the students breathe life and liveliness into this great School, and that it is famous for providing the best possible education to each student who qualifies to attend. Applications for Scholarship Support are available through the Office of Admissions.
